Pets & Portraits — draw your pet, and you too… if your pet doesn’t mind!
Draw My Pet takes a photo of your dog, your cat or a favourite person and draws it for you — a rough outline, then a detailed sketch, then a finished piece — one careful stage at a time, so you can trace along on your own drawing pad or right on the screen.
Currently trialling with a small run of gift boxes for friends and family.
Snap a photo of your pet (or a person), slide it into place under a faint grid, and watch the app sketch the first loose lines.
More lines appear — ears, eyes, the little details that make them them.
A clean, firm line drawing — then Professor Glumpy marks your own version in red pen, ready for you to colour and frame at 7×5 inches.
Trace along on paper next to the screen, or right on the screen itself — the guide line fades as you finish each part, and you choose the drawing speed.
A faint grid of 7 × 5 squares sits over the picture. Draw the same grid lightly in pencil on your sketch pad — 1‑inch squares on a 7×5‑inch page — and copy one square at a time. Enlarge, shrink or move the picture to fit it just right. The grid never appears on your finished picture, and you simply rub out your pencil lines at the end.
Your photo is processed right there in the app — it's never uploaded anywhere. That matters even more when it's a photo of you or your family.
Slow, medium, or fast — choose the drawing speed that suits you, and repeat any stage.
Dogs, cats, grandchildren or a self‑portrait — any clear, well‑lit photo works. Faces come out best when they fill most of the picture.
Your drawing and the finished picture are both 7×5 inches — a standard frame size, ready to hang or give as a gift.
